The 36th Annual Meeting of the Society for Text and Discourse will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA the dates of July 29 – July 31, 2026.

    Conference Location

    The location for the 2026 annual meeting is the Dubois Center at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

    In-Person Presentation and Poster Details

    ST&D 2026 will include both spoken presentations and posters. Details on these presentations will be available here in summer 2026.

    Remote Presentations and Remote Attendance

    Asynchronous remote presentations will be hosted remotely.

    Remote presenters will be asked to upload a short elevator pitch video of their presentation prior to the conference. The upload link will be sent directly to presenters via email. All in-person and remote attendees will be able to view these remote presentations. Remote presenters will also have access to recordings and, if possible, synchronous video sessions of the in-person spoken presentations.

     

    Meeting Conduct Policy

    In order to facilitate a safe environment for all guests, ST&D has adopted a meeting conduct policy. This policy will apply to all attendees.
