Your help needed: Metanalysis on effects of print and digital reading
Dear colleagues from the ST&D,
Within the COST action Evolution of reading in the age of digitisation (E-READ) (http://www.cost.eu/COST_Actions/isch/IS1404) we are running a meta-analysis on the comprehension effects of reading on paper vs. digital formats. Apart from our systematic search in databases, we have been advised to search for relevant studies on the topic that were not published or not indexed in scientific databases (such as national conferences, book chapter). This is necessary to avoid the publishing bias, which may be potentially relevant in this area.
If you or some colleague have run studies comparing print and digital reading, on comprehension (or related outcome, such as memory recall, test performance…), and haven’t published the study or it is not indexed, please let us know (firstname.lastname@example.org), ideally during the next 3-4 weeks. This will help us construct a more representative database on the topic.
Thanks in advance,
