Post-doctoral position, research on teenagers’ information skills, University of Poitiers
The Center for research on cognition and learning (CeRCA) seeks candidates for a post-doctoral position in cognitive or developmental psychology to be opened on or after September 1st, 2014 for a duration of 12 months. The position will contribute to research conducted within the CLIF team of CeRCA. More specifically, the position is expected to support a research program aimed at fostering teenage students’ awareness and use of source information during information search and comprehension.
Candidates who have earned a doctorate degree in a relevant field within cognitive or developmental psychology are encouraged to apply. Candidates with an experience in international scholarly publication, a full mastery of spoken and written English, and a solid background in experimental/quasi-experimental research methods and data analysis will be given special consideration. Fluency in French is not an absolute requirement but some familiarity with the language will add value to one’s application. The position requires full time residency in the region of Poitiers (France), although permissions may be given to travel temporarily pending on schedule constraints.
