FABBS: Video contest submissions due May 15

Dear Behavioral and Social Science Researcher,

The Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research (OBSSR) is turning 20 this year! To help us celebrate, we are asking you to submit a video that showcases your research work. The best videos will be featured at the OBSSR 20th Anniversary Research Symposium on June 25th, at Natcher Conference Center and on our website throughout 2015.

Specifications

  • Length: 60 to 90 seconds
  • QuickTime/MOV, WMV, MPEG or AVI format and YouTube compatible
  • No larger than 50 MB
  • Must be 508 compliant.

  • Captioned with an available transcription file
  • Free of content that may violate any copyright laws
  • Release forms for all people featured in the video must be obtained (if applicable).

Steps to submit your video:

  1. Send your Intent to Submit a Video. Email Tara Turner: tara.turner@nih.gov. DEADLINE: April 15, 2015.
  2. Upload your video to YouTube.
  3. Send us a link to your video: obssrnews@mail.nih.gov  DEADLINE: May 15, 2015.

 

Submission Deadline: May 15, 2015.

Put all your effort into a making a smashingly ingenious submission and have fun!  There are a few criteria that OBSSR staff will use to make their selections, including relevance to the behavioral and social sciences research, compliance with all aforementioned specifications, significance and impact of the research featured, and quality of the video.
