The Hill reported today that the President will propose a budget that increases defense spending by $54 billion and cut non-defense spending by the same amount. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities conducted an analysis of what this means for the non-defense part of the federal budget, which includes all non-defense science funding. For details, go to: http://www.cbpp.org/blog/trump-plans-big-cut-in-domestic-programs
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more. And, of course, we’ll be working on Capitol Hill to do what we can to change the outlook.
